Answer

Information about volunteering and the general volunteer application can be found on our website here. Teens must be 13 years old and older, or in the 8th grade.  Middle school students (6th grade and up) may volunteer as Summer Reading Program Volunteers. There is a separate application for summer reading volunteers that is posted to our website in late Spring. If you are interested in volunteering with the summer reading program, please contact the children's librarian at your branch- Charlotte Hall: 301-884-2211 x4; Leonardtown: 301-475-2846 x4; or Lexington Park: 301-863-8188 x4. Parental consent is required for teens under 16. Students needing community service hours are welcome.
