If the item is not owned by any of the Southern Maryland libraries (libraries in Calvert, Charles or St. Mary's Counties), you can check the availability of the item at other Maryland libraries using Marina.  Use your library card to log in and place a request (hold). Be sure to indicate at which branch you want to pick up the item.  These items may take longer to arrive but you will be contacted when the item is available for pick up by email or phone.  You have 5 days to pick up, cancel or extend the hold before the item is returned.

If the item is not available in any Maryland library, then visit any branch to see if the item can be requested from outside the state.  A small fee may be charged for this service.
