Is the library affiliated with Accelerated Reader?

St. Mary's County Library is not affiliated with Accelerated Reader, which is operated by a private company called Rennaisance Learning. However, your librarians will be happy to help you determine the AR level and points of books in our collection. You can also look up the levels and points at http://www.arbookfind.com/

Several of our area schools use Accelerated Reader. If your child is enrolled in Accelerated Reader through a school, it is best to contact the school librarian or media specialist for instructions on taking quizzes. Students may be able to take them online from home with a special login, or the school may require that quizzes be taken in the media center.
